| Marija Dragojlovic Objects preserve memories, so that in the monumental canvases of Marija Dragojlović a microworld turns into a great narrative harmony. “Poetic intimism” is the term through which the paintings of this artist are terminologically determined and explained. The idea about enlarged objects from one’s personal history has been a constant from the 1980’s to the present day and has spanned cycles (Boxes, Mirrors, Inkstands). A powerful feeling of staged memories on large-format canvases gives way before authentic experiences that are stressed through the objectification of the author’s personal world.
